Kylian Mbappe Joins Real Madrid

25 year old Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid from Paris St Germain where he spent 7 seasons and won 15 trophies and scored 256 goals in 308 appearances.

This is not the first time Real Madrid approached PSG with interest in buying Mbappe, back In 2021 Real Madrid approached PSG with 180 million euro deal for Mbappe but PSG decided to keep their star man at the club which turned out to be a bad calculation for the Paris based club because Mbappe chose not to extend his contract by one year which his contract in PSG allowed him to do so.

The transfer was confirmed by Real Madrid on 3rd/june/2024 and the star went to social media to confirm exit from Paris St Germain. With Modric extending his stay at the Bernabeu, Mbappe may have to settle for the number 9 jersey. Real Madrid acquired Mbappe as free agent and did not pay PSG any money for him.

Some Real Madrid fans did not react well to the signing of the star citing that he sold them out two years ago while other fans are happy because his signing reinforces the already strong squad which has Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham

The PSG ultras honored Mbappe in his last game with a huge tifo although there was no farewell ceremony organized officially for him by the club. A section of the fans booed him during the game but after the game he was seen appreciating the PSG ultras with a huge smile as he clapped his hands.

Mbappe will improve the Real Madrid squad because he has the ability to play as the main striker which real Madrid have lacked since the departure of Karim Benzema. Jude bellingham has played as a false nine with Rodrygo and Vinicius free roaming across the wings. Adding Mbappe will allow jude bellingham to have a more midfield role as Mbappe does the work of finishing the balls that will be sent in by Rodrygo an Vinicius from either wing

Alongside bellingham, Rodrygo and Vinicius junior, having Mbappe to that squad will make Real Madrid more clinical during counter attacks to exploit the pace that mbappe has together with Rodrygo and Vinicius junior. 

As the game of football focuses mainly on the striker and rightly so, Mbappe has the potential to become the face of Real Madrid because he has the experience of winning championships and even wining the world cup. Mbappe should be clinical enough this upcoming season and if he is able to put upwards of 60 goals every season he can surely be the face of Real Madrid. Great players have done so at Madrid before and this is the chance for kylian Mbappe to show that he is a super star.

Real Madrid arguably has the most fit athletes among all the football clubs in Europe, they are trained to be able to play at high intense physical levels for 120 minutes which makes to be able to play a match of 90 minutes without easily tiring compared to their opponents.
