A Pass makes surprising revelation about iconic Bebe Cool song

Ugandan artiste A Pass has come out to make a surprising revelation about “Love You Everyday”,the monster 2014 hit song by his compatriot Bebe Cool.

Bebe Cool

A Pass revealed that contrary to the popular myth that he was the writer behind the song,it was actually Esther Nabaasa who penned the reggae tune that is undoubtedly one of Bebe’s biggest songs across his legendary career.

He disclosed this via his page on X,formerly known as Twitter, posting ;”Why do people always say I wrote Love you everyday πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You guys don’t know esther nabaasa (The Singer & Songwriter) On that album I wrote Byebyo πŸ”₯ Everywhere you go & African Gelo πŸ”₯Not Love you everyday πŸ™πŸΏ” in response to another user making the erroneous claim.

Esther Nabaasa is one of the most underrated songwriters in Uganda, with her acclaim in artistic circles not translating over to the general public, who largely remain unaware of her, although it ought to be mentioned that this is in the context of how high expectations of her were earlier in her career.

She famously won Season II of singing competition show Tusker Project Fame in 2008,and was therefore expected to become the next big female artiste after legendary acts Juliana Kanyomozi and Iryn Namubiru, who ruled the airwaves in the 2000s.

But that didn’t happen . She is now mainly known for her role in the composition of the 2012 Uganda @ 50 Independence song Yoga Yoga As well the Nile Special anthem “Sip from the Nile”.

She is also credited with contributing to the soundtrack of Natasha Karugire Museveni’s Bush War biopic 27 Guns.
