Introduction:

The champions league yet again presented us with a memorable night of football. With elite football happening across Europe. Manchester city suffered a loss away to Juventus, being the first time a Guardiola team conceded 2 goals in 3 consecutive champions league games. Pundits had anticipated for Manchester city to bounce back at Juventus stadium in Italy but Manchester’s challenges still continued.

This game week results left PSG facing elimination after managing seven points in six champions league games  and Borussia Dortmund dropped to the knockout playoff placed on the Long after losing at home to Barcelona, Lamine Yamal had an exceptional game managing an assist  for the winning goal.

Real Madrid vs. Atalanta:.

Real MAdrid managed to defeat Altlanta at the Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe was the first to put the Marenges a head inside the first 10 minutes of the game. Atlanta later equalized at the end of the first half through a penalty scored by Charles De Ketelaere. Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham scored in the second half to give Real Madrid a two goal cushion before Ademola Lookman struck in the 65th minute of the game to pull back one goal for Atlanta which wasn’t enough as Real Marid won the game 3-2. The win leaves Madrid sitting 20th on the Champions league standings just managing 9 points in the last 6 champions league games.   

Bayern Leverkusen vs. Inter Milan:

Nordi Mukiele got the only goal in the 90th minute of the game. That solo goal saw Bayer Leverkusen defeat Inter in Germany in a closely contested match. L;everkusen controlled much of the game with 61% ball possession and managing 5 shots on target\. Inter on the other hand managed no shot on target

Atletico Madrid vs. Slovan Bratislava:

Antoinne Griezmann had a remarkable night scoring 2 goals which helped Atletico Madrid to a 3-1 win against Slovan Bratislava. Julian Alvarez scored in the 16th minute of the game giving the Los Colchoneros the lead earlier in the match. David Strelec later netted a penalty for Slovan in the second half which turned out to be a consolation goal. The result leaves Slovan sitting second last on the table and Atletico Madrid in the Knockout Playoff zone.

Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund:

The yellow wall was breached in Germany as Dortmund and Barcelona played a back and forth match full of intensity. Dortmund lost the game 2-3  after  Barcelona put up a spirited fight which saw them get a winner in the 84th minute through a counter attack. Lamine Yamal provided the assist for the winning goal scored by Ferran Torres. Torres got two goals and Raphina scored the first goal for barca. Guirrasy scored twice for Dortmund but it was not enough. Nuri Sahin’s side dropped from the qualification zone to the knockout zone due to the result of the game and Barce;lopna sit 2nd on the table.
